Listeria-Related Recalls Keep Rolling In

In what’s starting to feel like old news, more recalls have been issued in the nationwide incident related to Listeria found in cheese from supplier Deutsch Kase Haus.

The three newest recalls were issued by Three Ready Pac Foods, which last week recalled nearly 60,000 pounds of chicken salad; Lipari Foods, which just today recalled various bulk and retail cheeses that had been distributed to foodservice and retail stores; and Yoke’s Fresh Market, which recalled two Colby cheese products.

The incident, which started just under three week ago, has already affected hundreds of products, putting it on par with the big frozen vegetable recalls we saw last year. Hopefully it isn’t a sign of things to come.
