SUMMARY:FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food Participant Course Version 2.0 (hybrid)
DESCRIPTION:Register here \nNew Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) regulations require that certain food safety related activities\, such as the management of food safety plans\, must be completed by a “preventive controls qualified individual” (PCQI) who has “successfully completed training in the development and application of risk-based preventive controls”. \nThe Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation is intended to ensure safe manufacturing / processing\, packing and holding of food products for human consumption in the United States. \nThis course developed by the FSPCA is the “standardized curriculum” recognized by FDA and fulfills the FSMA requirement for a PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual). \nUnder the Preventive Controls for Human Food rule\, the responsibilities of a “preventive controls qualified individual” include to oversee or perform 1) preparation of the Food Safety Plan\, 2) validation of the preventive controls\, 3) records review\, 4) reanalysis of the Food Safety Plan\, and other activities as appropriate to the food. See § 117.180 and 507.53 for more details. \nParticipants will receive an official FSPCA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual certificate of completion after the class. \nCourse Outline\n\nIntroduction to Course\nFood Safety Plan Overview\nGood Manufacturing Practices and Other Prerequisite Programs\nBiological Food Safety Hazards\nChemical\, Physical\, and Economically Motivated Food Safety Hazards\nPreliminary Steps in Developing a Food Safety Plan\nHazard Analysis and Preventive Controls Determination\nProcess Preventive Controls\nFood Allergen Preventive Controls\nSanitation Preventive Controls\nSupply Chain Preventive Controls\nVerification and Validation Procedures\nRecord-keeping Procedures\nRecall Plan\nRegulation Overview—cGMP and Hazard Analysis and Risk Based\n\nWhat previous students are saying about this class:\n\n“Great ‘hands on’ approach – good applicable presentation of real life events and or experience.”\n“All information was relevant in understanding and implementing new\, changing regulations in the industry”\n“The class is very interactive and fun”\n\nPlease click the following for a downloadable flyer of the Food Safety class schedule: Food Safety Summer/Fall 2026 \n

SUMMARY:A Novel Addition to Biosecurity: Proactive\, Continuous Pathogen Control Technology to Improve Poultry Operations
DESCRIPTION:Register here \nPathogen risk touches every stage of poultry production\, from hatchability and chick quality at the hatchery to Salmonella control in egg processing and beyond. Even small declines in hatchability\, chick quality\, or cull rate can compound quickly across a facility’s output\, driving real losses in performance and productivity. Elsewhere in operations\, a Salmonella event can trigger recalls and cost facilities millions in financial losses. Standard practices like formaldehyde and manual cleaning cycles leave gaps between cycles and struggle to reach airborne contamination in occupied spaces. That is why hatcheries worldwide are implementing proactive\, continuous\, pathogen control technology as an added layer of biosecurity. Julien Lenglet\, North America Poultry Consultant\, will present real-world applications and outcomes of DHP® technology and how the technology works 24/7 to reduce surface-level and airborne pathogens without disrupting operations or requiring area vacancy. \nThis webinar will broadcast at 8:00 AM CDT (Chicago) / 2:00 PM BST (London) / 9:00 PM CST (Beijing). \nWHAT YOU’LL LEARN: \n\nTypical applications of hatchery disinfectants\nPractical considerations for evaluating and integrating continuous pathogen control\nHow DHP technology works and is deployed to complement existing sanitation programs\nReal-world studies: effectiveness of DHP technology\, replacing formaldehyde\, ROI outcomes\n\nThis webinar is sponsored by Synexis and presented by WATTPoultry.

SUMMARY:Formulation to Finance: Building a Connected Feed Operation
DESCRIPTION:Register here \nHow much data are your teams maintaining separately from each other? In the feed mill\, disconnected systems slow the response to changing circumstances\, add cost\, and raise the risk of error. Yet your business is data rich\, and it can do far more when it is shared across teams and functions. This webinar looks at how feed businesses can integrate their systems to work together. See how formulation and ERP strengthen each other\, and how connections to quality\, procurement\, scheduling\, and finance can improve compliance\, traceability\, and financial performance. \nThis webinar will broadcast at 8:00 AM CDT (Chicago) / 2:00 PM BST (London) / 9:00 PM CST (Beijing). \nWHAT YOU’LL LEARN: \n\nFind out where disconnected systems cost you and what the risks are\nSee how a data-rich feed business can put data to work across teams and functions\, from the mill floor to finance\nInvestigate the core connection between formulation and ERP\, and how each system benefits the other\nExplore the data connections that can improve quality\, compliance\, traceability\, and financial performance\nLearn how to turn formulation\, manufacturing\, and operations into one feedback loop instead of three separate ones\nSee how remote and multi-site access can put the same live view in front of every plant for unified and justified decision-making\n\nThis webinar is sponsored by Datacor and presented by Feed Strategy and Feed & Grain.

SUMMARY:HACCP Certified Food Safety
DESCRIPTION:Register here \nHACCP is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological\, chemical\, and physical hazards from raw material production\, procurement and handling\, to manufacturing\, distribution and consumption of the finished product. \nHACCP is designed for use in all segments of the food industry from growing\, harvesting\, processing\, manufacturing\, distributing\, and merchandising to preparing food for consumption. Prerequisite programs such as current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) are an essential foundation for the development and implementation of successful HACCP plans. \nFood safety systems based on the HACCP principles have been successfully applied in food processing plants\, retail food stores\, and food service operations. The seven principles of HACCP have been universally accepted by government agencies\, trade associations and the food industry around the world. \nParticipants will learn how to identify food safety hazards\, establish control measures\, limits and monitoring procedures\, write and update a HACCP plan\, document and verify results and to prepare for audits. This training can be customized to fit the needs and current systems of your organization. We can deliver this training at your location or in our facilities. \nThis class is accredited by the International HACCP Alliance. \nTopics Covered:\n\nIntroduction to HACCP\nPre-Requisite Programs\nHazard Identification\nPreliminary Steps\nHazard Analysis\nCritical Control Points\nCritical Limits\nMonitoring\nCorrective Action\nVerification ad Validation\nRecordkeeping\n\nWhat trainees are saying about this class:\n“Great boots on the ground examples. Kept class interesting – lots of knowledge & real world experience” \n“Very informative class.
