Business Showcase Thursday Aims to Strengthen Regional Agriculture, Manufacturing Industries

HERKIMER, N.Y. — FuzeHub, the statewide New York Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NY MEP) center, will host the Manufacturing and Agriculture B2B Showcase Thursday, June 6, for regional agriculture manufacturers to showcase their companies and products, network with peers and connect with resources to improve their business growth at the Robert McLaughlin College Center at Herkimer College.

Designed to fuel the success of New York State’s agricultural industry, the showcase will introduce manufacturers to potential business partners, suppliers and customers, while industry leaders present on pressing issues facing the manufacturing and agriculture sectors. With agricultural manufacturing expected to remain a vital source of job creation in the Mohawk Valley, this event was created to serve as a catalyst for regional growth.

Nearly 100 people attended last year’s Manufacturing & Agriculture B2B Showcase. In 2019, it will again be presented by FuzeHub in partnership with AIM at MVCC, Herkimer County Industrial Development Agency and Herkimer College.

Manufacturers will be able to meet one-on-one with regional and state resources that provide or assist with technical expertise, technology adoption and innovation, workforce development and recruitment, energy and water usage reduction, process development and improvement, product development, commercialization, automation, testing, grant funding and more.

FuzeHub: FuzeHub is a nonprofit organization that connects New York’s small and mid-sized manufacturing companies to the resources, programs and expertise they need for technology commercialization, innovation, and business growth. AIM at MVCC: The Advanced Institute for Manufacturing, or AIM, provides small and medium-sized manufacturers in the Mohawk Valley region with training, consulting and technology services that will lead to new product development, cost reductions, increased efficiency and profits. AIM is designated as the Mohawk Valley’s regional NY MEP center.

Herkimer County IDA: The Herkimer County Industrial Development Agency (HCIDA) is a public benefit corporation created by the Herkimer County Legislature in 1970, under the New York State Industrial Development Agency Act of 1969. The mission of the agency is to help create or retain job opportunities within Herkimer County by both assisting existing area industries and by marketing the area to prospective new industries.
