Arlington, VA – The American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI) today announced the successful conclusion of its annual Frozen Food Convention (AFFI-CON) that brought together more than 1,100 industry executives representing nearly 500 companies in Dallas from February 19-22.

“From fruits and vegetables to entrees, pizza and pet food, frozen food is a staple for every member of the family,” said AFFI President and CEO Alison Bodor. “The best and brightest leaders from the frozen food supply chain are here at AFFI-CON, charting the future of our industry.

During her opening address, Ms. Bodor took a moment to reflect on 2021, “COVID illness and quarantines exacerbated labor shortages and supply chain disruptions throughout the food industry – in manufacturing, retail and foodservice. Despite the challenges, 2021 was another year of strong retail sales of frozen foods. Frozen foods continue to meet consumers needs for easy preparation, health, and variety. Looking ahead to 2022, AFFI expects continued strength in the frozen category and greater resiliency in the frozen food supply chain, driven in part by the business meetings and conversations happening here at AFFI-CON.

Other highlights of AFFI-CON 2022 include:

“Together, AFFI, its members and the entire frozen food supply chain are proud of the work we do to provide families with delicious, affordable food 365 days a year. AFFI-CON plays an important role in advancing that mission and we are honored to be able to get back together in person for this year’s event to map the future of our great industry,” concluded Ms. Bodor.
