American Frozen Food Institute Names Mary Emma Young Vice President of Communications

Arlington, VA – Alison Bodor, president and CEO of the American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI), today announced the appointment of Mary Emma Young as AFFI Vice President of Communications.

“I am pleased to welcome Mary Emma to the AFFI team,” said Ms. Bodor. “Sharing frozen food’s compelling story with policymakers, influencers, journalists and the entire frozen food chain is an essential part of our mission and in her new role Mary Emma will work with AFFI and its members to develop and execute an impactful communications strategy that informs and educates those key audiences about the benefits of frozen food.”

Prior to joining AFFI, Mary Emma served as Senior Director of Communications and Strategic Planning at the Pet Food Institute. She also served as Director of Communications & Marketing at CropLife America and was a Senior Account Executive at the TheWadeGroup, Inc.

In her new role, Mary Emma will lead AFFI’s integrated communications strategy, including media relations, social media, executive communications, crisis management, and Web and internal communications to help advance the Institute’s mission.

Young will report to the AFFI CEO. She begins her duties on March 28, 2022. She succeeds Adrienne Seiling, former AFFI Vice President of Strategic Communications, who now serves as AFFI Senior Vice President of Industry Affairs and Member Services.
