Stoecklin Logistics Named Overall Winner of Top 3PL & Cold Storage Providers Award

Leading automated material handling and warehouse storage systems provider recognized as top provider in the cold food and beverage industry for its sustainability efforts

MARIETTA, Ga. – June 17, 2024 – Stoecklin Logistics, Inc., a leading provider of automated material handling and warehouse storage systems, announces it has been named the overall winner of the 2024 Top 3PL & Cold Storage Providers Award, presented annually by Food Logistics magazine. The award recognizes leading 3PLs and cold storage providers in the cold food and beverage industry. Stoecklin Logistics was recognized for its dedication to helping distributors improve sustainability efforts and supply chain efficiency.

Last year, the company launched the Stoecklin CasePicker, a material handling solution designed to meet the rising demand for fresh products while minimizing waste in fresh food distribution. The solution enables distributors to depalletize pallets using intelligent controls, grippers, suction cups, and underride plates to ensure gentle and efficient handling. The CasePicker solution can operate in freshness zones ranging from 39.2°F to 57.2°F and can handle up to 135,000 cases of fresh fruit and vegetables a day.

In an exclusive interview with Food Logistics, Danilo Potocnik, Head of Sales, Stoecklin Logistics, said, “The change in consumer consumption habits have an impact on frozen food distribution and warehousing. This has led to a massive increase in demand for automated temperature-controlled storage. Stoecklin recognized this trend early and developed solutions for storing goods in areas with controlled temperatures. When it comes down to handling fresh products according to food hygiene standards, Stoecklin offers products and components in Inox quality standards, such as conveyors, pallet jacks and forklifts.”

Backed by low-emission automation, Stoecklin Logistics’ intelligent cold warehousing solutions are prepared to meet the growing needs of food and beverage cold storage. Stoecklin’s CasePicker is modular and scalable to be easily modified according to changing distribution requirements and integrates easily into the existing facility and ensures that only the intended goods are picked directly for each retail-outlet pallet, preventing unnecessary movement and spoilage. The system’s speed relies on order volume, which significantly reduces energy and resource consumption.

Further, Stoecklin’s AGV and forklift fleets are equipped with energy management solutions that include energy recovery, IT-supported journey optimization, adaptive dynamics and minimization of emission sound pressure in rack handling and conveyor systems, helping customers reduce their overall Co² footprint in the warehouse by up to 20 percent.

“Looking ahead, our focus remains on leveraging cutting-edge technologies and innovative practices to address the evolving needs of the logistics industry and the challenges faced by businesses in an ever-changing market landscape with sustainable and future-proof solutions,” Potocnik concluded.
