All said and done, the price index for food at home dropped by 0.1%.

Here’s the breakdown:

The food index for food away from home rose slightly by 0.2% in September.

Over the past 12 months, the overall index for food has risen by 1.4%, with both food at home and food away from home increasing by 0.4% and 2.6%, respectively.
