New Food and Beverage Product Launches, Sept. 20-24

With the arrival of fall, many of this week’s new products feature seasonal flavors. Also hitting the shelves soon are sustainably-packaged teas and a unique session IPA.

Hiland Dairy: Flavored Milk, Eggnog, and Cream Cheese

Just in time for fall, Hiland Dairy introduced three limited seasonal milk flavors: Halloween Egg Nog, Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk, and Pumpkin Spice Milk. Each is available in 946 mL cartons, with a suggested retail price of $2.56 for the Halloween Egg Nog and $2.69 for the flavored milk products.

The company also released six new cream cheese spreads in the following flavors: original, strawberry, honey vanilla, salted caramel, onion and chive, and garden veggie. All cream cheese varieties come in 3.5 oz packages, priced at two for $4.

Saint James Tea: Ready-to-Drink Teas

Backed by a team of entrepreneurs, John M. Ferolito, co-founder of AriZona Iced Tea, is launching Saint James Tea, a line of organic, sustainably-packaged teas. Flavors include Original Green Tea, Pineapple & Mango Tea, Passionfruit & Peach Tea, and Blueberry & Raspberry Tea.

The ready-to-drink, preservative-free teas come in 16.9 fl oz Tetra Pak cartons to minimize environmental impact while improving shelf life. For the initial release, the products will be available online and at select retailers in Florida.

Savory Spice: Vegan “Chicken” Salt and Fall Flavors

Savory Spice recently released Good on Ya vegan “chicken” salt, a plant-based follow-up to its traditional chicken salt. The new product is made from vegan “chicken” stock, reflecting the flavors of chanterelle mushrooms, tomato powder, coconut milk, and mild curry. Good on Ya is available in a 3.5 oz container for $9.99, and is designed to boost the flavor of foods like corn on the cob, salads, and roasted vegetables.

To welcome autumn, the company also launched Spiced Carrot Mug Cake (2.4 oz, $4.49), Spiced Apple Bake (2.25 oz, $4.49) and Mulling Spices (1.55 oz – 9.3 oz, $6.99 – $23.99).
