CMX Founder and Former CEO Mitch Porche Moves to Chief Strategy Officer Role to Focus on Company Vision and Product Innovation; COO James Gunn-Wilkinson Promoted to President
CMX, a leading provider of Enterprise Quality Management Software (EQMS), today announced the appointment of Bert Clement to CEO, succeeding Company Founder Mitch Porche in this role. Porche will now serve as Chief Strategy Officer, a new position, with responsibility for product innovation and long-term vision. CMX also announced that COO James Gunn-Wilkinson has been promoted to President and COO.
“It’s been almost 14 years since the incubation of CMX and 12 years since we onboarded our first client. We have grown from offering a single-purpose auditing solution to delivering a comprehensive suite of products designed to help the world’s leading companies protect their brands, maintain quality and drive operational performance,” said Porche. “As I hand over the reins to Bert, who is already fast at work strategizing the next phase of our growth, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished and I’m excited to get back to my roots in business strategy and product innovation.”
With more than 25 years of leadership experience in both public and private companies, Clement will leverage his background in supply chain; enterprise auditing; and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) to drive growth and deliver value to CMX customers. Since 2016, he has served as CEO of Retail Solutions, Inc. (RSi), a leading provider of data-driven supply chain solutions for consumer packaged goods manufacturers and retailers.
“I look forward to building upon the impressive growth that Mitch and his team have worked so hard to achieve since CMX’s founding. Earning the trust of many of the world’s best-known brands, and positioning the company at the forefront of digital transformation in quality, safety, risk management, and operational excellence is no easy feat,” said Clement. “I’m honored to succeed Mitch in the CEO role and excited to lead our exceptional team as we take the company to the next level.”
Gunn-Wilkinson, who shepherded CMX through 10 years of successful growth, will work side by side with Clement as he continues to play an instrumental role in the company’s operations, strategy, and expansion.
“James has been an incredible leader and invaluable asset to CMX for over 10 years. His dedication to our business and to our customers’ success is unparalleled,” said Porche.
