If micro-level data can be aggregated across locations, quality professionals, VPs, and operations, then managers can use it proactively to improve performance on a macro scale.

Implementing a cloud-based management software, Fair says, can help companies leverage data into this new plane of usefulness. Putting data in the cloud for increased access and analysis breaks through geographical, cultural, and infrastructural barriers while avoiding large-scale equipment overhauls.
