From superfood cereal to shelf-stable smoothies, here are some of the food and beverage products launching this week.
Purely Elizabeth: Superfood Cereal
Purely Elizabeth introduced its new Superfood Cereal with Vitamin D, in Honey Peanut Butter and Vanilla Blueberry Almond flavors.
The new better-for-you cereal is made with superfoods (chia, quinoa, and amaranth) and whole foods (fruits, nuts, and seeds). It’s sweetened with sustainability sourced coconut sugar and does not contain artificial flavors.
Superfood Cereal is certified gluten-free and Non-GMO Project Verified. Each serving contains 6 grams of fiber and is an excellent source of Vitamin D3.
Both varieties are available on Purely Elizabeth’s website, priced at $6.99 per box, and at Whole Foods Market nationwide.
Banza: Masterpiece’zas
Banza recently announced a new pizza kit called Banza Masterpiece’zas.
The kit aims to help picky eaters eat healthy by tapping into their imaginations and allowing them to turn pizza into a work of art. The “art supplies” for both vegan and vegetarian kits include:
- Banza’s chickpea-based pizzas
- Fresh, pre-sliced vegetables from Farmer’s Fridge
- Tupperware® Deco Pens to fill up with sauce or dressing
- Tiny Bites scissors to slice the pizza
- Gotham Greens Vegan Pesto
- Burlap & Barrel oregano
The kits are available on Banza’s website, with 50% of the sales donated to Whole Kids Foundation.
Phyll: Ready-to-Drink Smoothies
Phyll just launched its shelf-stable, ready-to-drink fruit and greens smoothies in Greenfest, Mixed Berry, and Chocolate varieties.
Each smoothie contains three servings of fruits and veggies, 15 grams of plant-based protein, and no added sugars or sweeteners. The smoothie has a long shelf life without refrigeration, thanks to the brand’s trademarked Clean-Pressed process.
Priced at $29.99 for a pack of six, 11 oz. containers, the new smoothies are available for purchase through Phyll’s website.
Little Leaf Farms: Sweet Baby Butter Leaf Lettuce
Little Leaf Farms unveiled its latest variety of lettuce with a sweet flavor and crispy texture — Sweet Baby Butter Leaf.
The new variety is sustainably grown in Little Leaf Farms’ hydroponic greenhouse without pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. Since it’s seeded, harvested, and packaged hands-free, it doesn’t require washing. And the lettuce is delivered to grocery stores within 24 hours of harvesting.
Sweet Baby Butter Leaf is available in 4 oz. packages at retailers across New England. Later in the year, it will also be distributed throughout the Northeast.
