A space-inspired syrup flavor, better-for-you yellow-pea pastas, and a treat that aims to create a positive relationship with snacking are among this week’s new food and beverage products.
Torani: Puremade Galaxy Syrup
This week, Torani announced its 2024 Flavor of the Year — Puremade Galaxy Syrup.
Torani’s team of flavor scientists crafted the futuristic, space-inspired flavor based on extensive research and a consumer demand for escapism. The taste is described as “the essence of space in a bottle, with notes of raspberry, dark rum, and subtle minerality,” making it great for cold beverages like energy drinks, sparkling water, and more. And, like the brand’s other Puremade products, it’s made with pure cane sugar, all natural flavors, color from natural sources, no preservatives, and no GMOs.
Torani Puremade Galaxy Syrup is available for purchase through Torani’s website and World Market for $11.99.
ZENB: Lasagna and Cavatappi Yellow-Pea Pasta
Better-for-you pasta brand ZENB is introducing two new yellow-pea pasta shapes — Lasagna and Cavatappi.
Compared to their wheat pasta counterparts, these first-of-their-kind pastas offer the same experience, but with more protein (17 grams per serving), more fiber (11 grams per serving), and no artificial flavors or preservatives. The new pastas are made with just one ingredient — whole yellow peas — and are gluten-free, non-GMO, and vegan like ZENB’s other pasta products.
ZENB Lasagna and Cavatappi will be available first on Amazon and the brand’s website.
Hidden Valley Ranch: Double Ranch
Hidden Valley Ranch is doubling the herbs, spices, flavor, and even the bottles with its latest product — Double Ranch.
The limited-edition release comes in the form of two bottles fused together in the shape of an X to represent the brand’s collaboration with itself.
The Hidden Valley Ranch x Hidden Valley Ranch product will be available for purchase through the brand’s website and a special Snapchat lens beginning this Saturday, November 18, while supplies last.
Myna Snacks: Midnight Mini Cookie
Myna Snacks, co-founded by Pokimane and Darcey Macken, is making its debut this week with the launch of its first product — the Midnight Mini Cookie.
The brand’s first snack is made with its mission in mind — to create a more positive relationship with snacking — and only real ingredients, including rich chocolate, white chips, sea salts, a non-GMO gluten-free flour blend, coconut sugar, and mushroom powder. The Midnight Mini Cookie and all of Myna’s future product releases will be free of dairy, soy, gluten and grains, artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives.
The Midnight Mini Cookie is available in packs of four for $28.00.
Dassai Blue: Dassai Blue Type 23 Sake
Dassai Blue, the new U.S. extension of Japanese sake brand Dassai, recently announced the launch of Dassai Blue Type 23, the brand’s flagship product.
This Junmai Daiginjo sake is crafted batch-by-batch with handmade koji from Yamada Nishiki rice sourced from Japan. It features “a beautifully complex aroma of floral and pear notes, offering an elegant and powerful texture, followed by a long and pleasant aftertaste.”
For the suggested price of $79.99, Dassai Blue Type 23 will be available at the brand’s recently opened brewery in Hyde Park, NY, as well as at Union Square Wine & Spirits, Hanamaru Mart, Sakagura, and other retailers and restaurants.
