Flavorman Opens New $8.5 Million State-of-the-Art Production Center

The 28,000-square-foot addition will help Flavorman better serve demand for custom beverage development services

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 1, 2024) – Flavorman, the leading custom beverage development company, has announced the opening of its new, large-scale production facility in Louisville, Kentucky. This 28,000-square-foot expansion represents an $8.5 million investment to scale up Flavorman’s state-of-the-art “Beverage Campus” and facilitate its rapid growth in the beverage industry.

The brand-new production center, the Scott Reed Production Building, is named after the longtime Flavorman Warehouse Manager. It is strategically designed to enhance the company’s Blending, Compounding, and Quality Control capabilities, featuring cutting-edge technology and laboratories. This expansion bolsters Flavorman’s capacity for bulk flavor production and many more of its highly demanded services.

“The new facility represents an exciting leap forward for Flavorman and our clients,” said Scott Weddle, CEO of Flavorman. “With this facility, we’re not just expanding our physical footprint; we’re expanding our ability to innovate and push the boundaries of what’s possible in beverage creation.”

The center includes enhanced blending equipment, increased production space, and laboratories designed to elevate client services and allow larger production runs. The new space will also expand Flavorman’s bottling/canning capacity and processing and bulk storage operations.

“We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter and look forward to seeing the positive impact this will have on our community and the beverage industry as a whole,” said David Dafoe, Founder of Flavorman.

Designed by Frankfort-based G. Scott & Associates (GSA) and contracted by Cardinal Industries, the 28,000-square-foot addition connects to the company’s main laboratory and is anticipated to bring several new jobs to downtown Louisville.

Since its founding in 1992, Flavorman has developed and formulated thousands of beverages, including energy drinks, flavored spirits, teas, juices, and more. Flavorman, Moonshine University, and the Stave & Thief Society comprise a world-class “Beverage Campus” that houses a fully equipped educational distillery, a state-of-the-art classroom, a production facility with a custom bottling line, an extensive sensory library, and a beverage innovation laboratory.
