Johnson & Johnson and Procter & Gamble Veteran to Lead Former Nestlé Waters North America as it Embarks on Growth and Innovation Strategy as an Independent Company

STAMFORD, Connecticut, July 8, 2021 – BlueTriton Brands (“BlueTriton” or the “Company”), the former U.S. and Canadian operations of Nestlé Waters, has named Jorge Mesquita as Chief Executive Officer. The veteran Johnson & Johnson and Procter & Gamble executive joins as the Company, known for its extensive portfolio of regional spring water and national purified water brands, embarks on growth and innovation initiatives as an independent business.

Prior to joining BlueTriton, Mr. Mesquita served as Executive Vice President and Worldwide Chairman of Johnson & Johnson’s consumer division, where he revamped the marketing, brand building and commercial strategies for brands including Johnson’s Baby, Neutrogena and Listerine. Prior to Johnson & Johnson, Mr. Mesquita spent nearly thirty years at The Procter & Gamble Company (“P&G”), where he led three separate divisions during his tenure.

As Group President, Global Fabric Care at P&G, Mr. Mesquita was responsible for overseeing the company’s largest business unit as well as the design and delivery of Tide and Ariel Pods, the biggest laundry innovation play in decades. Previously, as President, Global Home Care, he redefined the business with new brands including Swiffer and Febreze. Mr. Mesquita began his P&G career in Venezuela and later held posts in Mexico and Brazil before being tapped to lead Fabric & Home Care operations in Latin America and, later, in North America. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology.
