Four of the 10 best US brands are food brands, according to YouGov’s annual Best Brands Rankings. Hershey’s (#4), M&M’s (#5), Cheerios (#8), and Quaker (#9) all made the list.
YouGov continuously monitors public perception of brands according to 16 different metrics. The annual Top 10 list is calculated using the average of six metrics:
- Impression
- Quality
- Value
- Satisfaction
- Recommendation
- Corporate reputation
YouGov notes that this year’s list reflects brands that “[enrich] people’s lives and health at home.”
The research firm also released a list of the 10 “most improved” brands, which included Bumble Bee. The positive change was the result of Bumble Bee’s new ad campaigns resonating with younger audiences as well as the tuna company’s renewed commitment to sustainability.
