On Glassdoor, employees rate how satisfied they are with their employers on a 5-point scale (1 = very dissatisfied, 5 = very satisfied) and share their opinions about the pros and cons of working there. They are also asked to rate their CEO as well as factors like career opportunities, compensation, and culture.

Mars is the only food and beverage manufacturer on this year’s Best Places to Work list. The company has a 4.2 overall rating (the average is 3.7) and was recognized for their work-life balance, culture, salary, and benefits.

Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor CEO, said that this year’s winners are listening and responding to employee feedback as well as putting their people first by reimagining the employee experience. “It’s inspiring to see these employers step up during the pandemic to expand and grow company cultures where employees feel supported and valued in and out of work,” Sutherland-Wong said.
