This week’s roundup of new products includes chocolaty treats, snack-sized popcorn cups, and a gum to help fight sugar cravings.
Undercover: Chocolate Quinoa Crisps
Undercover Chocolate Co. is celebrating Valentine’s Day with Chocolate Quinoa Crisps in eight varieties.
The crunchy, better-for-you snack is made with crispy quinoa that’s lightly coated with Rainforest Alliance Certified milk or dark chocolate. They contain all-natural, gluten-free, nut-free, non-GMO, and Kosher ingredients.
Chocolate Quinoa Crisps are available in 12-count treat bags for passing out on Valentine’s Day.
Sweet Victory: Chewing Gum
Israeli start-up Sweet Victory announced a line of botanical-infused chewing gums with a superpower — stopping sugar cravings within two minutes.
Formulated with the ancient Indian botanical gymnema, the product effectively blocks sugar receptors on the tongue for up to two hours, making sweet treats taste bland or sour. The gums themselves, however, are flavorful and available in peppermint and lemon and ginger varieties.
Sweet Victory is currently available in Panama, France, and Israel but will soon be coming to the United States.
Opopop recently added Peel + Pour Popcorn Cups to its lineup, offering a snackable portion of microwave popcorn in four flavors — Salty Caramel, Like Buddahh, Vanilla Vanilla, and Lightly Salted.
Each cup contains raw Opopop kernels, which can be poured into Opopop’s reusable silicone popper to make five cups of popcorn. All varieties are gluten-free and non-GMO.
The cups are available online starting at $19.99 for four, three-cup packs (a total of 12 pop cups).
Alter Eco: Organic Granola
Alter Eco Foods announced the addition of USDA Certified Organic granolas to its product lineup, available in Dark Chocolate, Cashew Butter, and Cinnamon Raisin flavors.
The clean label granolas contain no added sugar but get their sweetness from date powder and monk fruit.
Consumers can find the new products priced at $7.49 per 8 oz bag at Whole Foods or online.
