Serendipity Brands: A Christmas Story Ice Cream

Part of its collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Serendipity Brands released a new holiday ice cream flavor inspired by A Christmas Story — “Oh Fudge! Peppermint Cookie Fudge Sundae.” 

The mint flavored ice cream includes crushed peppermint candies, cream-filled cookie pieces, and fudge swirls. Pints are available for $7.99 each.

GoodSam: Baking Mixes

For quick, easy holiday indulgences, GoodSam Foods launched three new baking mixes — Chocolate Cake, Fudgy Brownie, and Cacao Pancake.

All three mixes contain seven ingredients or less, starting with high-quality Colombian cocoa. They’re the first on the market to be sweetened with allulose, a low-calorie sweetener.

Baking mixes are available in 12 oz. bags for $10.99.

Mori-Nu Plus Fortified Tofu aims to take tofu to a new level, offering a better taste experience, a creamy and smooth texture, and plenty of added nutrients like protein and calcium. It also includes prebiotics paired with the company’s proprietary postbiotic, LAC-Shield. The tofu can be served on its own or added to recipes such as pastas, smoothies, and cakes.

Available exclusively online starting at $9 per 3-pack, Mori-Nu Plus Fortified Tofu is packaged in award-winning aseptic packaging, which keeps the product fresh for up to eight months. 

Upward Farms: Striped Bass

Aquaponic vertical farming company Upward Farms just launched its first fish product — hybrid striped bass, harvested at a “plate-size” of about 1.5 to 2 lbs. 

The fish have a light, flaky, and buttery flavor and are rich in minerals like zinc and magnesium. Upward Farms raises them sustainably at its Brooklyn farm without using hormones, antibiotics, or mercury. And, as part of the aquaponic ecosystem, the fish provide the fertilizer for the company’s microgreens.

The bass are now available to restaurants and consumers via Greenpoint Fish and Lobster in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. In 2022, Upward Farms plans to reach more consumers on the east coast with both its fish and microgreens products.
