Smalley Named CFO & Treasurer of Precision Roll Grinders

Tom Pecuch retires, ending 35-year tenure at the company

Lehigh Valley, Pa. – Effective July 1, Deborah S. Smalley has been named chief financial officer and treasurer for Precision Roll Grinders. She succeeds Tom Pecuch who retired after 35 years with the company, the longest-tenured member of the executive team.

As CFO & treasurer, Smalley will manage all of the organization’s financial functions, including risk management, cash management, investment decisions and financial planning. Smalley is also responsible for developing internal control policies guidelines and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting for the company’s four sites.

Smalley joined Precision Roll Grinders in 2021 as corporate controller. In January of 2023, she was named vice president of finance.

Prior to joining Precision Roll Grinders, Smalley worked as controller and then regional finance manager for Blue Triton Brands (formerly Nestle Waters North America), Breinigsville, Pa., where she was a senior member of the logistics management team in the Midatlantic and Midwest regions. Smalley was cost accounting manager and director of finance at Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Bethlehem, before joining Nestle. She has also taught as an adjunct professor at Northampton Community College, Bethlehem, Pa.

Smalley earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from DeSales University, Center Valley, Pa., and holds a master of business administration degree from Kutztown University in Kutztown, Pa.

A tri-athlete, Smalley competes in Ironman events, and serves on the steering committee and as a mentor for First Strides – Allentown. She has served on the board and finance committee of the Minsi Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America and as the treasurer of Women in the Outdoors – Lehigh Valley, part of the National Wild Turkey Foundation.
