Automated Flexible Conveyor Unveils Sanitary SPIRALFEEDER® Flexible Screw Conveyor

Enclosed Stainless Steel Auger Seals Out Plant Environment to Block Contamination

Clifton, NJ: Process equipment manufacturer Automated Flexible Conveyor, Clifton, NJ, (afcspiralfeeder.com), has unveiled a sanitary model of its signature SPIRALFEEDER® flexible screw conveyor. Developed to automatically transfer powders and other bulk materials in sanitary processing environments, the sanitary SPIRALFEEDER features a stainless steel infeed hopper and screw auger with continuous welds and polished finish set inside an FDA/USDA-approved UHMW polyethylene outer tube. The enclosed conveyor creates a sealed system that protects the material in process from contamination due to exposure to the plant environment while safeguarding the workplace from exposure to spillage, combustible dust, and other fine particulates.

Developed for conveying food, pharmaceutical, nutrition, and other products, the sanitary SPIRALFEEDER is available in five standard sizes plus custom sizes with a choice of flat, round, and knife edge spiral types to suit any application. Optional accessories available include a material agitator or vibrator for enhanced material flow, and a mobility package that sets the entire conveying system on casters.

The sanitary SPIRALFEEDER auger conveyor is designed and manufactured at the company’s New Jersey headquarters. Product and performance testing are offered live in person and online by live stream from the on-site test center.
