PepsiCo is the best company to grow a career in the consumer goods industry, according to the CPG edition of LinkedIn’s Top Companies report. PepsiCo subsidiary Frito-Lay also made the list, coming in at #24.
To determine the rankings, LinkedIn assessed companies with at least 500 U.S. employees as of April 30, 2022. Any company with attrition or layoffs that amounted to more than 10% of their workforce in the previous 12 months were not eligible. The companies were rated on seven factors: ability to advance, skills growth, company stability, external opportunity, company affinity, gender diversity, and educational background.
These are the food and beverage companies that made the list:
- PepsiCo (#1)
- AB InBev (#2)
- Danone (#5)
- Red Bull (#9)
- Del Monte Foods (#10)
- J.M. Smucker (#11)
- General Mills (#12)
- Land O’Lakes (#13)
- The Wonderful Company (#14)
- Constellation Brands (#15)
- Impossible Foods (#16)
- Campbell Soup (#18)
- Morton Salt (#19)
- Niagara Bottling (#20)
- Boar’s Head (#21)
- Smithfield Foods (#22)
- Frito-Lay (#24)
- Driscoll’s (#25)
While the food and beverage industry made an impressive showing, occupying 18 of 25 spots on the CPG list, no F&B company made the main Top Companies list, which evaluated businesses across industries. This suggests an opportunity for F&B companies to improve their employee experience and become more competitive in the tight labor market.
