The Hershey Company and Kellogg Company were the only two food and beverage brands featured on DiversityInc’s list of the Top 50 Companies for Diversity this year.

Both companies have made the list for several consecutive years and continue to demonstrate their commitment to DiversityInc’s six categories of corporate performance, including leadership accountability, workplace practices, and supplier diversity.

The Hershey Company has been climbing up the ranks since its debut and moved up another three spots this year. “We’ve taken steps to accelerate our DEI strategy with a particular focus on women and people of color,” said Alicia Petross, Hershey’s Chief Diversity Officer. “First, we’ve paused and listened to others, including employees, the market, and the communities in which we live. We’ve also set the tone at the top of the organization with our board of directors and senior leadership. We recognize that while we’ve made progress, there is still more work to do.”

The company also ranked on several other DiversityInc lists for 2023, including Top Companies for Executive Diversity Councils (#1), Top Companies for Sponsorship (#2), and Top Companies for Latino Executives (#2).

And we continually strive to be an inclusive workplace where everyone is welcome to be their authentic selves and achieve their full potential.”
