Nut butter shakes, clean label tortillas, and low sugar gummies are among this week’s newest food and beverage products.

Plant-based nutrition company Vega announced the launch of its new Nut Butter Shakes in Peanut Butter and Peanut Butter & Banana flavors. 

The Nut Butter Shakes can be mixed up with just water, no blender required. Each scoop contains 20 grams of protein, real peanuts and flax seeds, and 85% less fat and 60% less calories than adding two tablespoons of peanut butter to a regular shake.

Nut Butter Shakes are available at major retailers and on Vega’s website, priced at $34.89 per 18-oz. container. 

Sola: Brand Refresh and Reformulation

Sola is refreshing its portfolio of keto-friendly, no-added-sugar foods with a new logo, new packaging, and ingredient reformulation.

In the commercial bread aisle, Sola’s bread, buns, and bagels will be the only national non-GMO, low-carb brand. All Sola’s products are now also Keto Certified and made without saturated fats and artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives.

The new products are rolling out this month to nationwide retailers and will also be available on Amazon and Sola’s website.

Babybel: Mini Babybel Monterey Jack

Marking its first new flavor since 2014, Babybel is adding Mini Babybel Monterey Jack to its line of 100% real cheese products. In addition, the brand announced a reformulation of its Mini Babybel Mozzarella.

The new Monterey Jack flavor is mild, creamy, and slightly sweet and contains 4 grams of protein per serving. The reformulated Mini Mozzarella also contains 4 grams of protein and just 70 calories per serving. Both products are made without artificial growth hormones, colors, flavors, or preservatives. 

Babybel’s latest additions are available at major retailers nationwide for the suggested price of $7.99 for a 12-count net.

Rise & Puff: Tortilla Product Line

Rise & Puff is launching a line of authentic better-for-you tortilla products with three varieties — Original, Certified Organic, and Gluten-Free.

The brand’s mission to clean up the flour tortilla category has resulted in tortillas that puff and are made with simple ingredients. There are just four ingredients in the Original variety — non-GMO wheat flour, pure avocado oil, sea salt, and filtered pure water — and they take just 60 seconds to cook.

Rise & Puff’s new tortillas are available for purchase online in 3 packs (8-count each) for $28.99. They’re also available through specialty grocers for the suggested price of $5.99 to $8.99 per pack.

Alani Nu: Gummies

Alani Nu is launching a better-for-you version of gummy snacks with Alani Gummi in Gummy Bears and Smoothie Gummy Rings varieties.

The gummy products contain just 2 grams of sugar and 80 calories per serving, provide 7 grams of fiber, and are gluten-free. Each pack of Gummy Bears includes a mix of watermelon, fruit punch, and grape flavors, and packs of Smoothie Gummy Rings include apple and grape, strawberry and mango, and mixed berry flavors.

Alani Gummies are available on the brand’s website for $34.99 per 12 pack of 1.8-oz. bags. The snacks can also be purchased at GNC and The Vitamin Shoppe.
